Port Captain

Represent the Charterers during loading and unloading operation, taking care of the cargo handling and requesting the most efficient port operation

Cargo Claims

Inspect and investigate the damages caused on the cargoes, setting the causes in the time and place where this happen

Pre – Loading Surveys

Inspect and establish the cargo condition before loading, informing the findings to the ship´s captain so he can write the remarks on the bill of ladings

Pre – Discharging Inspection

Inspect and set the cargo condition on the vessel arrival, before the discharge commencement, observing the lashing and stowage condition

Tally Survey

Determine the total quantity of cargo loaded or unloaded in each vessel´s hold by weight or units, setting the condition of this cargo.

Sealing And Unsealing Of Cargo Holds

Together with the chief Officers inspect the sealing after loading and unsealing before discharging, recording the seal numbers on each hold entrance

Heavy-Lift Cargo Survey

Inspect the loading or unloading of heavy pieces, checking their actual damage conditions, cargo handling, lifting points, lashing and stowage condition

Lashing Survey Certificate

Inspect, evaluate and improve when it be necessary the lashing points of any piece or group of cargo, issuing the lashing condition certificate of this cargo

Project Cargo Surveys

Check the actual cargo condition, using the best available spaces according to the pieces measurements, requesting a good lashing and stowage onboard the vessel

Container Surveys

Check the actual condition of maintenance of the containers, in accordance with the CSC regulation, making a detail record of damages.

Reefer Cargo

Inspect the reefer cargo condition, checking temperatures, Brix level and cold chain, obtaining the thermometers information located in the container

Underwater Inspection

Provide and monitor the inspection for professional divers certified by the Colombian Maritime authority

Pre - Load Coal Quality

Inspect, check and certify the quality of coal at the stocking yards before loading, and if the procedures followed by the laboratory company are in accordance to the regulations

Grain Cargo Inspections

Establish the grain cargo condition on arrival, taking samples and then check the place where this was stored

Steel Cargo Inspection

Supervise all loading or unloading operation, recording the cargo condition on arrival before stevedores begin the operation and then observe the cargo handling by the stevedores until the final storage in terminal´s warehouses

Electrical Repairs

Maintenance or replacement of wiring, alternators, switchboards, motors and generators spare parts

Drydock Inspections

Represent the ship´s owners during the dry-dock maintenance, having the control of the all jobs, sand blasting areas and the quantity of the steel sheets which are to be changed
